Undies. Panties. Knickers. Call them what you want; EVERY woman loves a great set of lingerie to make her feel like a million bucks!
I recently partnered with Hanky Panky to showcase a few of their pieces on my social media platforms and I jumped at the chance. I’ve had a few pairs of Hanky Panky pieces over the years and they truly are the best of the best. And now with my, ahem, shall we say “expanding” body, I could really put the comfort levels to the test!
Hanky Panky has been around for over 40 years. They launched in 1977, to be exact. And they quickly gained popularity with their now-iconic Hanky Panky signature thong. I’ve owned two pairs of these things and, as I said, I can attest to these being 1) INCREDIBLY comfortable and 2) they last forever. They’re the Benjamin Button of undies. They look new and stay soft and comfy for years.
So when Hanky Panky asked me to choose a few pieces to showcase (as well as run a giveaway for you guys which turned out to be one of the busiest giveaways to date!) I jumped at the chance. I arranged to meet one of the Hanky Panky team members at the Cavendish branch (you can find your local branch here) to pick out the pieces. Prior to my visit, I did what I do before visiting a restaurant. I checked out the goods on the website!
I decided on – yet another – of the signature thongs. Yes, they’re THAT good. As well as one of the Signature Lace Crossover Bralettes (R1150). However, when I got there and saw the pieces in person and tried a few on, I swayed and instead opted for one of the Hanky Panky boy shorts (R830). These are just as comfortable as the original piece I wanted. They are SO COMFY!!! And I love how the lace comes up a bit higher (not so low-rise) and peeks out the top of my jeans if I am wearing my baggy jeans. Although truth be told, everything is baggy these days with all the day pregnancy weight I’ve lost..
I chose both my items in white as I thought they could really come in handy for a preggie photoshoot should I want to do one in a few months. Who am I kidding.. I’ve got about 7 Pinterest boards full of shoot ideas as well as already booked my makeup artist!
As difficult as it was to choose, I was thrilled as anything with my pieces! The Inner Secrets store is an Alladin’s Cave of beautiful things. The Hanky Panky camisoles… I swear I looked at those for a good 20 mins! And the different variations of Spanx! They even have Spanx for pregnancy bellies! The store – as well as the fabulously informative floor staff – are well worth a visit next time you are in Cavendish.
If you purchase your fave Hanky Panky garments (and a few of you have already sent me pics of your purchases!), be sure to enter their running competition.
Upload your image to social media using the hashtag #HankyPankyCanBe and let the world know what Hanky Panky can be to YOU. And you could win a R5000 voucher to shop until you drop! GOOD LUCK!
