Did you ever think you would see the day that I start dedicating blog posts to my nails? Nail polish? Nail tools? Treatments for said nails? Me neither!

Over the past few months I have been paying attention to my previously horrendously treated nails and they now look like they belong to someone else. I have been using the correct tools, strengthening and hardening treatments, as well as specially formulated nail polish colours and they have made the world of difference. Today I will be speaking to my number one, numero uno, nail polish brand; ORLY.

I have received a few different shades from various ORLY ranges over the last while and I can honestly, HONESTLY, say that not one range has disappointed. I chose the shades myself as part of the media drops, but the brand seriously lives up to it’s claims

There are two main reasons for ORLY being my current go-to nail polish brand. Number one, it is so incredibly long lasting. The image below is a snippet from my Instagram story where I was raving about my nail polish being unchipped after NINE days. NINE!

Wearing Staycation with no base coat or top coat.

Secondly, application is SO easy. Many a minute in my life has been spent sitting with nail polish remover soaked earbuds trying to clean up my nail polish splattered nail beds. Not fun.

The ORLY nail polish features a 600 bristle brush. The shape fans out to fit the cuticle perfectly. This ensures a smooth and even finish. The patented Gripper Cap™ is unique and has quickly become the feature that I look for when searching for a nail polish in a salon.

The leader in nail innovation. ORLY is a professional nail brand known for its cutting edge, on-trend nail colour and care ranges. At ORLY we never stop looking for the next big thing. Colour is the foundation of everything we do. Colour your world with ORLY!

Left to right: Down to Earth, Sands of Time, Almond Milk, After Glow, Staycation

As I mentioned above, I have tried and tested a few of the ranges over the last few months. ORLY makes it difficult to showcase a range individually because they are constantly coming out with new shades and innovative ranges. NOT a bad point in my book 😉

A few of my ultimate favourites would be their Neon Earth, Coastal Crush (2017) and Breathable ranges. The Breathable range is a treatment AND colour in one. And just recently the range was expanded and now includes my ultimate go-to shade, Staycation. It is a mauvey muted milky brown shade which I am complimented on EVERY time I wear.

Sands of Time – from the Lacquer range – R165

But best of all… My favourite across the board is the Treatment + Colour range. This unique, all-in-one formula contains the benefits of a colour, treatment, basecoat and topcoat in one application.

Almond Milk – Treatment & Colour range – R175

13 Free Formula. ORLY Breathable Treatment + Color is formulated without Toluene, Formaldehyde, Dibutyl Phthalate (DBP), Formaldehyde Resin, Camphor, Ethyl Tosylamide, Xylene, Triphenyl Phosphate (TPP), MEHQ/HQ, MIT, Parabens, Animal Derived Ingredients or Gluten.

Another favourite; After Glow. I can just HEAR the December holidays while wearing this! R165
And my ride or die shade; Staycation – R175

It goes without saying that my nails have been reaping the rewards of the Breathable range. And all cards on the table, I have been using some nail strengtheners and hardeners of late. BUT. But but but… for the first six or so weeks of getting back into doing my nails I was ONLY using the ORLY polishes. And I 100% saw and felt the benefits.

ORLY also has a range of treatments, topcoats, basecats etc. And their effect polishes! Oh my graciousness. Do your eyes a favour and search for ‘Moondust’ and ‘Valley of Fire’.

You can find your nearest ORLY display on their website – https://www.orlybeauty.co.za/ – and be sure to let me know if you purchase any for yourself!

I NEVER post a disclaimer like this but I feel like it is needed as this is a super ravey post. This blog post was NOT sponsored. I am seriously obsessed with ORLY and absolutely loving that I can be a proper girly girl with long nails these day.
