Today’s outfit was a completely run-of-the-mill casual outfit.

I work from home as the co-owner of an online costume jewellery and acrylic organiser store The Journey Store and I also au pair 3 – 5 days a week. So, as you can imagine, I have no reason to get dressed up as either no one sees me all day OR the only people seeing me are kids.

This outfit was on a day where I was doing exactly that; working from home, running some errands, and driving kids all over the place. Actually, you are lucky if you see me out of sweatpants and a t-shirt on any day of the work week BUT when it gets to the weekend I am quite the dresser upper (is that a thing?). My work week style usually consists of this exact outfit in different variants of materials and colours. And maybe different shoes in Winter.

I am obsessed with this waterfall jersey right now. I got it from Jet of all places! My sister bought one and usually we stay as far away from each other’s style as possible but this one we just had to both get. It is light enough to wear in weather like todays where it is sunny but there is also a sharp nip in the air, and it is thin enough to wear underneath a jacket or parka on colder days. I love the way it lengthens at the sides as it adds a bit more definition to a plain outfit such as this one. AND it was only R99.95. Not even on sale!

These slip slops are also from Jet – super weird as I think these are the only two Jet items that I own. They are super cheap and last months at a time. As you can see from this picture; mine are VERY loved and worn. I love the glitter detail on the top as it adds a bit of sparkle. I purchased this handbag in Thailand last year and I regret not buying one in each colour! It is so gorgeous, I cannot tell you how many people ask about where I bought it, but it is starting to look a bit worn and tatty seeing as I use it five days out of seven. The sunnies I purchased from for less than R60! This is the link to the same pair And finally, these jeans are Mr Price and my pleather strap top is Edgars.
