Hi guys, and welcome to the second day of March!

This is a very cliche opening paragraph, but can you believe that we are already into the third month of the year?! That’s already a quarter way through! It was a great month for me product wise and I am pretty excited about sharing my February Favourites with you.

1. Inglot Translucent Loose Powder in 216

Originally I bought this powder to hopefully find a dupe for my M.A.C loose transparent powder and this measures up pretty well, indeed. I love love loooove Inglot and I was really happy to finally get my hands on this as it was released overseas quite a while before it reached us here in South Africa.

As stated on the website: ‘Translucent powder that sets foundation with a long lasting matte finish. Silica and special treated mica allow to absorb sebum’.

This is exactly what the powder does, and it in no way leaves a powdery white finish, nor does it leave you with a cakey looking face. My one and only teensy weensy complaint would be that most face powder brushes are a lot larger than this tubs lid and its difficult to maneuver the powder out without wasting a bit. But all in all a great product!

Can be purchased at certain Edgars’ stores and stand alone Inglot stores. R189 for a 1.5g tub.

2. Formula 10.0.6 Deep Down Detox Ultra-Cleansing Mud Mask

Wowwee, this one has quite the complicated name. I actually received this from a friend when we were swapping make-up/skin care items that we did not use and she was so not a fan of this, whilst I am in dire need of another tube! I honestly, honestly am addicted to it.

The thought of a mud-mask is so enticing to me because when you have the mask on your face you can feel it harden up and once washed off, your skin feels renewed and healthy and fresh. This one in particular smells of orange, sea salt and bergamot so you can imagine that it smells gorgeous and fresh. It is only meant to be used 1 – 3 times a week because it does its job so well that you do not need it any more than that. I tend to leave it on for about 20-25 minutes but it can also to be left on for 10-15 minutes.

It is said that the orange helps recharge the skin, whilst the bergamot balances and the sea salt cleanses. I do not find that I can feel the sea salt in this at all; it in no way feels like a mild exfoliator.

Can be purchased at Clicks for R85.

3. Olay Total Effects 7-in-1 Night Firming Moisturiser

IMG_1797

I had been using the Clarins Multi-Active Day & Night creams for a while and I had noticed that my skin was a bit oilier than usual (I do not have oily skin at all usually) so I asked the dermatologist what I could do and he suggested using another night time moisturiser in conjunction with the Clarins and splitting them up and using the one four nights of the week, and the other three nights of the week. This suits me as the Olay is SIGNIFICANTLY more affordable and it really does do the job! It is not too thick, its moisturising, it does not leave your face sticky or oily and it majorly improved a dry patch which I had on my face. If you are in need of a firming and hydrating night cream then I would definitely suggest this.

Can be purchased at Clicks, Dis-Chem or Edgars for R190

4. Gosh Velvet Touch Lipstick in 159 Boheme

IMG_1796

This is my absolute number uno favourite lipstick right now. If you follow me on Twitter you will have seen that I had tweeted so many photos of myself wearing this colour. It is an is super long lasting and highly pigmented intense deep winey/red colour. It is a semi matte finish which means its not too dry that you need to wear a lipgloss over it. This range of lipsticks is absolutely fantastic (I have my eye on Mandarina and Sweetheart) but this colour itself is jaw dropping. I can go on for ages on why I love this lipstick! This is sure to be my go-to Autumn lip colour.

5. John Frieda Full Repair Perfect Ends Deep Infusion Oil

I have been using this repair oil for about eight months now and if I do not apply it after washing my hair, I feel like my locks are screaming at me. Basically it infuses your hair with nourishment and hydration, and once dry it also helps protect your hair against heat stylers. You apply one pump (I use about four as I have lioness hair) to your hair when it is damp after washing it, and you leave it to dry or you can blowdry it. The Inca Inchi Oil is the special ingredient which turns your overworked strands into silky and shiny locks.

6. GOSH Velvet Touch Lipliners in 001 Nougat Crisp & 003 Cardinal Red

Favourites

These liners are basically the bomb dot com. I have been searching for a great liner because I am one of those people who HAS to wear a liner with their lipstick. Otherwise it just bleeds all over the place. My absolute favourite one right now is 001 Nougat Crisp. I use it whenever I am wearing nude lipstick (almost ever day) and 003 Cardinal Red is the perfect colour when using a dark lipstick. I even pair it with my darker plum colours for a super vampy look. They are true to their name in the way that they are soft and smooth as velvet. They are long lasting yet you do not struggle to remove it at the end of the night. All in all; the perfect lip liner.
