Autumn is well and truly upon us here in South Africa! I say that with joy because I am a total Autumn/Winter baby. Our seasons are very deceiving though as we never get snow (unless you trek waaay up into the mountains),5 degrees Celsius is as cold as it gets, and most days the weather averages 17 degrees. I have personally never seen snow before and as much as I say I love Winter, I’m sure if I was suddenly living in a country where the weather is -10 every day I would turn right into a Summer baby.
And along with these seasons comes the best part; choosing your new wardrobe! I took a look through Mr. Price‘s website to choose a few key pieces that I would wear over the next few months but there was such an amazing selection that I ended up choosing 16 items!
1. Aztec Print Leggings R69.99 – Some people may find these leggings to be too busy, but is there anything better than throwing these on with slippers when you’re just chilling at home?
2. Patent Court R149.99 – Courts are such a classic shoe for Winter. The heel is not too high and they give the classiest touch to any look, be it jeans or a skirt.
3. Buckle Chelsea Boot R189.99 – I NEVER thought I would get into Chelsea boots but they are slowly growing on me as I’ve seen so many people wearing them lately. With a Winter coat and plain jeggings or leggings they give off a casually smart vibe.
4. Open Waist Stiletto R149.99 – These are very similar to the courts but I am in love with the open sides. These are really making a statement lately and they are super classy.
5. Denim Shirt R149.99 – You always need to be stocked up on long sleeve shirts during Winter and denim gives you much more warmth than just cotton.
6. Chunky Waterfall Cardigan R149.99 – Waterfall cardigans are also one of those items that just adds an immediate glam touch to any plain ‘boots ‘n leggings’ outfit. This is one fashion phase that I am in love with and I’ve already bought quiiite a few of these..
7. A-Line Skirt R79.99 – You definitely have to have the right body shape to pull this skirt off but its just so dainty and feminine and would be perfect for an Autumn look.
8. Grey Leggings R59.99 – Plain leggings, always a staple item.
9. Pussybow Peplum Shirt R99.99 – Once again, a classy addition to your wardrobe. You can pair this with the above a-line skirt or just a pair of casual leggings.
11. Faux Fur Gilet R279.99 – Need I say more? I own so many of these and I really do not need another but at that price?! These are huge right now and – as long as you are wearing fake fur – your outfit will always be on point whether you are dressed up or dressed down.
12. Slouchy Long Boot R199.99 – These may just be my personal favourite item on the entire site. You absolutely cannot go wrong with a camel coloured pair of slouchy boots…
14. Quilted Bowler Handbag in Powder Blue R129.99 – These are available in quite a few pastel colours and are the perfect addition to any monochrome outfit.
15. Quilted Clip Purse R59.99 – Such a plain but classic addition to your outfit whether you use it as a clutch purse or just throw it in your handbag.
16. Felt Hat R149.99 – I was so shocked to see this hat at such a low price because they have been going for a couple of hundreds each for quite a while now, and Mr Price has brought out a range of identical hats for a third of the price! Available in both maroon and black.
