Yet another product review post that I have been positively itching to write about! Sometimes you use some make-up which just has you forgetting about all other make-up and the Forever Eye Shadow Sticks fall into that category.
Before we go on, let me describe my eyes to you. I have eyelids which are almost hooded. Not quite, but almost there. And I have very thin skin on my eyelids too. This means that you can literally see the blue/grey veins. This is to the extent that when I was in high school, I must have had at least 10 people ask me if I am wearing make-up. It looks like eyeshadow on a bad day. (Not really a bad day, but a bad day in high school when you aren’t allowed to wear make-up).
Anyway, let the absolute raving begin. These are smooth, creamy, BEYOND pigmented and super blendable. HONESTLY, these are my new make-up best friends and I have received so many compliments wearing them.
Firstly, the high shine pigment is so opaque, none of my alien eyelid shows at all through the shadow. And I am talking one swipe here. Secondly, I have always been slightly apprehensive of metallic shades because, well, they;re metallic. But I have realized two things. One, if your eyes are shaped like mine you will benefit from such a stand-out shade (as you can actually see it), and two, the biggest benefit of a stick form of eyeshadow is that there is no fall out.
Before writing this post I did search online for reviews from fellow bloggers and these seem to be a super-loved product. I did not see many negative reviews – if any – and this really is a stand out product from GOSH.
If you have your eyes on these but are hesitant about day time wear then I am happy to tell you that they are blendable and the colour goes a bit more subdued once blended. The creaminess allows the product to blend easily but I definitely prefer them not blended. I literally go straight in with the pencil and wham bam, thank you ma’am, I am ready for the day.
One thing which scared me a bit, you can see the image below, is that removing them was a hassle and a half. This picture was taken after scrubbing my arm with micellar water. You can even see how red my arm is from all the rubbing. The amazing thing is that removing the Forever Eye Shadow Sticks from my eyelids was NOT a hassle. It must have something to do with the oil in your eyelids breaking the product down or something. I have no idea. All I know is that removing it was easy as removing normal eyeshadow. After researching it a bit more I found it mentioned that you’ll need an oil based make-up remover to assist in getting these off.
These Forever Eye Shadow Sticks are exclusively available from Edgars and Red Square stores. These are R160 each and I would 100% recommend them to you if you are looking for a high pigment shadow!

YES! I have 2 of these, the golden shade and the champagne shade. I love them so much! I use the champagne shade as an inner corner highlighter on my eyes and it looks amazing and stays put ALL. DAY.
