Curly hair? Frizzy hair? Thick hair? Wavy hair? Coarse hair? I honestly don’t know what is cracking with my hair but it is somewhere between curly and frizzy.

When I saw that Rubybox was looking for ladies to review the shampoo and conditioner from the Frizz Ease range, I immediately signed up. (For the record, you can join too! Simply pop over to www.rubybox.co.za)

The Frizz Ease Dream Curls duo is geared towards ladies (or gents, actually) with curly/wavy hair that is susceptible to being frizzy. There is also a Smooth Start duo for those straight haired ladies who battle with frizz.

If you have been reading my blog for a bit, you would know that I barely wash my hair. With it being Winter, I am able to go longer without washing my hair. I documented two and a half weeks of me using the Frizz Ease set. This equaled five washes over seventeen days.

You can see in the two images below that the first use produced silky smooth and large curls. I hate to be that person but I can admit that I was blessed with nice hair that does not need huge amounts of hair product and heat. The shampoo and conditioner made sure that my curl were more heavy beach waves than tight ringlets. UNFORTUNATELY my curls tend to become ringletly tendrils when I have used a shampoo and conditioner that do not mesh so well. Below you can see that the curls are smooth and manageable but there are still some flyaways.

After one hair wash and no heat used.

This next image is two days after the second wash and after straightening. After leaving my hair for two days the curls started popping through again in the most gorgeous “beach waves”. Again, my flyaways are still there slightly. Overall my hair is still smooth and sleek.

And finally the below images are after multiple washes and leaving my hair for as long as possible. These pictures were taken after six days of not washing my hair.

The Frizz Ease Dream Curls products are readily available from most chemist stores. I find Clicks always has fully stocked shelves – thankfully as John Frieda has MANY amazing ranges to choose from!! The Frizz Ease Shampoo and Conditioner can be purchased for R115.95 each.
