Todays post is just going to be a short and sweet quickie review!
Everyone has heard of Freeman Masks. They are available from Dis-Chem (if you live in SA), they come in mask sachets and tubes and they come in a huge array of divine flavours. Mint and Lemon? Peppermint and Plum? Charcoal and Black Sugar? The options are endless. AND on top of all of that, the range also includes face washes, face masks, face scrubs, body lotions, foot lotions and more.
I did say that everyone has heard of the Freeman Masks. And I may have been the last person to actually get my hands on one! Cara gave me two hand-me-downs of hers as she wasn’t such a fan so I was quite keen indeed to see if I would be into them or not. I decided to try the Peel-Off Cucumber Mask first as it was a peel-off variety.
I am such a lover of peel off masks. Who isn’t?! It always feels like such a challenge to try and peel the entire thing off in one go. I am sure its a feeling of great accomplishment once done.. not that I would know.
First thing that you notice is the fuuuuresh smell. Like, super super refreshingly fresh. It smells exactly like you would expect it to. It smells like cucumbers. Ta-daaah. There is also a hint of aloe vera which accounts for the fact that the three main ingredients are
- Cucumber Extract
- Aloe Vera
- Vitamin A
You use it the same as any old peel off mask. Apply to a freshly cleansed face, leave on for 5 – 10 minues. Remove when dry.
I always apply my masks with a foundation brush no matter which kind of mask it is, as I find you have a lot less wastage when you use a brush. I would 10000 percent recommend one for this mask because just look at those pictures! It is super thick and gloopy. BRUSH HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.
As I said above, the mask smells fresh and cucumber-y. It feels exactly like that on your face; the freshness penetrates your skin and leaves it feeling icy cold. It starts to warm up a bit when it starts to dry though.
I am one of those people who cannot leave the mask on until fully dry. If I see a dry bit then heck knows I WILL start peeling.
Once the mask is removed you just wash it with some warm water and voila, you are done. Your face is certainly left feeling refreshed and nourished. If you are after a super deep pore cleansing mask then this is not the mask for you, but, if you want a fresh faced and healthy look, then this is a goodie.
I love that the mask lasts for 24 months. I am such a sucker for products with a long life-span. Beauty bloggers problems…and I would say that one of these squeezy bottles will probably give you around 8 – 10 uses 🙂
What do you think of the sound of this mask? Would YOU buy it?

Ah yay! I would love to hear what you think of it once you have used it? ???
Love Freeman masks but always opt for the clay masks. Slowly but surely will try all of them though. Great post!
