Every now and again a product takes your breath away. And this Correct & Perfect All-In-One Color Correcting Palette (R795) from STILA does just that! I could sit and stare at the packaging for hours.

This “do it all” 13g palette contains 7 shades of creams and powders, all created to target different complexion issues. Redness, under-eye circles, discolouration, dull skin and more; all are said to be corrected with this one nifty palette.

The Cream Correctors

  • Peach – neutralizes dark under-eye circles on fair/medium skin tones.
  • Pink – brightens eye area and masks fatigue.
  • Yellow – neutralizes hyperpigmentation and dark spots.
  • Green – counteracts redness (i.e. from rosacea, acne, broken capillaries, and sunburn).
  • Orange – counteracts dark under-eye circles on darker skin tones; also neutralizes veins.

The Pressed Setting Powders

  • Yellow – sets any correcting cream or can be used all over to even out skin tone.
  • Lavender – sets pink correcting cream or can be used all over to brighten sallow/yellow skin.

I truly enjoyed getting to know this palette for more reasons that one. Essentially a make-up novice and a professional make-up artist would get some great use of it this All-In-One Color Correcting Palette.

The seven colours are described on the back in great detail, advising you exactly where the shade would be applied and to combat which skin concern. So for a beginner, this is a fabulous tool to really teach them the process and technique behind colour correcting. Someone who is a bit more adept in the make-up realm might find this handy for mixing and matching their shades.

I myself fall in the middle of these two. I am definitely no novice, but I am not trained as a MUA either and I had to learn how to colour correct from the internet. Let me assure you, it took FOREVER before I was convinced that applying lavender and green shades would actually improve the look of my skin!

And truthfully, even the orange in this palette shocked me a bit. It is a VERY pigmented shade and, being a cream, I was even more daunted. Cream blushers and bronzers I love… but as a concealer?

Overall, each and every shade I that I used in the palette did the job, and it did the job beautifully. I especially love the lavender powder for “brightening” up my face. I have a yellow undertone and this works perfectly to give me a less jaundiced look 😉

The green cream is another favourite for me. I have some marks in the middle of my eye-brows, more-so scars actually, and the green is a fantastic concealer to go in with before applying the yellow cream and then applying my foundation. These two work beautifully enough that if I choose to have a “no make-up day” at work (yes, I do these crazy things now), I pop this on and don’t worry about the rest of my complexion.

And then lastly, I adore the yellow powder for setting any of the creams in place once I am finished with my face. I find myself using the lavender and yellow powders more so than the other shades, so I am happy Stila chose these two as the larger pans.

All of the creams are fairly easy to blend. I prefer to go in with a damn beauty blender or just use my fingers with a patting motion. The powders are quite finely milled too, and also apply smoothly and beautifully.

The STILA Correct & Perfect All-In-One Color Correcting Palette is available from Woolworths stores, Superbalist online and Zando online.
