To this day I can not believe I have not written about this luxuriously decadent Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow from ELEMIS. I was scrolling through my blog photos last week and realized I had not published a post on this product! Truth be told, I am down to the last smidgen… the packaging sure does not look as gorgeous as these images. But I am most definitely repurchasing this goodie!
This is a complete spoil in my bathtime routine and I use it so very sparingly. Thankfully, our water restrictions have slightly loosened and we are allowed to take baths now and again. I cannot believe I typed those words. Who would have thought bathing would ever become a luxury in life?! But when I have had a crazy day I like to draw a scorching hot bath, use a face mask, complete my entire 10 step skincare routine and slather on the Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow.
The consistency is very thick, luscious and dense. Upon contact with the skin, the product melts into a luxurious and gentle exfoliating consistency. Your skin feels silk-like IMMEDIATELY. And a little goes a long long way. Thankfully, as the R1,030 price tag means I try and stretch it out to last as long as possible!
While it is a salt “scrub” it is not quite as scrubby as the name may suggest. I myself am a major fan of intense body scrubs but this salt glow can certainly hold it’s own! I generally find that salt/sugar scrubs tend to leave a thin layer of oil on the body – NOT nice whatsoever. This, however, leaves you moisturised, but there is no oily film left behind. Just a pure feeling of luxury. And this will 100% thanks to the ingredients in the product and why this holds it’s own and is so much better than similar products from other – slightly more affordable – brands.
The scent, needless to say, is just as divine as the product itself. When a scent is involved in their skincare and body lines, ELEMIS are absolute geniuses. It truly gives off that “spa like” scent which immediately relaxes your body and calms your senses. I also appreciate the container that the product is housed in. It is weighty, tightly sealable clip top jar which feels ultra luxurious. And it is reusable! The very thin silver lining of finishing such a beloved product.
In closing, while I usually rave about super scrubby body exfoliators on this platform, I HIGHLY recommend the Frangipani Monoi Salt Glow. Especially if you are looking to add a bit of luxury into your nighttime routine or are after a gentle yet effective body polish.
