It is obvious that Labello is my favourite lip-balm of all time. Anytime I have a “favourite lip products” post, Labello is front and center among my top picks.

So while I prefer to opt for the more plain-Jane balms – Original (Protects your lips from drying out and provides them with long lasting moisture) and Hydro-Care (Experience long-lasting light-weight hydration that locks in moisture) are my faves – there truly is something for everyone in the Labello range. I also adore the Active For Men option (Intensive moisture and shine free care for every day), but I am not a man.. so ja.

Even though I prefer the non-scented and non-coloured options, I do like to pop a bit of particular shades onto my lips prior to lipsticks. Almost like a primer. Strawberry Shine, Cherry Shine and Blackberry Shine are my faves to apply before applying a more intense lipstick or lip-creme on top. Each of the ‘Shine’ options kiss your lips with a delicious fruity-fresh aroma and a fabulous shine and colour.

The Labello formula has recently been updated and therefore improved and now claims 24 hour long-lasting moisture. The main ingredients that feature are jojoba oil, shea butter and avocado oil – all three are known for their incredibly hydrating and moisturising properties.

I don’t know if I can full vouch for the 24 hour longevity of the lipbalms.. but I can say that they sure do last AGES.

As I said at the beginning of this post, I will always repurchase Labello over and over again. On top of that, I always have multiple tubes of on the go at any given time. You can check my handbag, makeup bag, cubby hole and work desk; you’ll probably find about seven!

The Labello lip balms retail for R25 – R28 at all major retailers. Most definitely one of the most affordable yet most crucial part of my beauty routine!
