I feel as if I am only singing the praises of skincare products that I have been featuring on Make It Rayne lately. And sometimes I wonder to myself if I need to be bit more discerning? But at the end of the day, I am ONLY going to feature products that I love. Gone are the days when I trashed a brand (okay, you’ll be hard pressed to find more than 5 posts where I “trash” a brand!) based on one product. I made myself a resolution about two years ago that MIR was to merge into a “happy thoughts only” place – unless it was VERY warranted.

There has, however, been an outcry from bloggers noticing other bloggers who consistently post positive reviews on media drops. As in every single drop. Simone from An Ordinary Gal briefly mentioned this in a post the other day, noting how ‘Favourites’ posts (you guys remember, I published one of these a month for about three years!) are basically a run-down of ‘What I Received For Free’ this month. And this got me feeling all sorts of fidgety about all the positive reviews that I put up. But you know what, each positive comment from myself is warranted. Brands are absolutely freaking phenomenal at the moment and I have a LOT of products to rave about!

That being said, I will never EVER give a brand or product air time based on the fact that the brand was “generous enough to send me PR”. Not a chance.

And now that my rant is over, we can go on with my review, Sorry SIX Sensational Skincare for tying you into a slightly salty post. ESPECIALLY as SIX Sensational Skincare is one of the brands that I have been head over heels in love with over the past few months! 😉

SIX Sensational Skincare

And finally moving onto the star of today’s post; the Cranberry Exfoliating Cream (R387). It’s no secret that I am a big fan of enzymes in skincare products, with papaya being one of the best in my opinion. In a previous post featuring the Rice Enzyme Exfoliating Powder (also from SIX Sensational Skincare) I spoke about how uncommon it is to see enzymes such as papaya and oatmeal in skincare products, and SIX seems to be the go-to when looking for such ingredients. The Cranberry Exfoliating Cream contains these delicious papaya fruit extracts which activates and stimulates the skin’s cellular metabolism. This leads to a significant increase of skin moisture as well as increasing your skin’s ability to retain moisture. Therefore all of this leads to an increase in your skin’s hydration levels. And aren’t we ALL about they dewy skin life?!

SIX Sensational Skincare

The Cranberry Exfoliating Cream gently breaks down the dead skin cells, leaving the skin glowing and silky smooth. By restoring flexibility and suppleness of the skin, the added Kokum Butter provides the skin with new freshness and beauty.

It truly feels like the most incredible treatment on your skin. You are meant to apply in onto DRY cleansed skin, work it in for two minutes and then wash off. I am always so hesitant at “pulling at my skin” (wrinkles, ya’ll!), so much so that I have swapped out micellar wipes and cotton pads for gentle cleansers where you don’t need to rub at the skin so much. But, while the Cranberry Exfoliating Cream does a fab job at buffing the skin, it really is gentle enough that you aren’t damaging the upper layer of your skin.

I think it is safe to say that I LOVE and would highly recommend the Cranberry Exfoliating Cream. It has swiftly moved up to the top of my ‘Must Have’ list.
It is available in a 30ml and a 50ml. SIX Sensational Skincare is a tad difficult to purchase. You’ll need to contact them here to find out who your nearest stockist is. It is also a huge bonus in my book to support a local brand!

Don’t forget to let me know below if you recommend anything from this brand? Or if you’re planning to pick this up for yourself!
