A few years ago, when I started my beauty journey, all I wanted to decorate my vanity with was a few Juicy Couture fragrances. Each and every single perfume from JC is just beyond gorgeous and the packaging is consistently top notch!
Juicy Couture just recently released their latest innovation, the Viva La Juicy Glacé. The one up-up to it’s predecessor, the original Viva La Juicy. It is a limited edition fragrance (sadly, I cannot confirm when it will be discontinued) with the unique ability to be both an “everyday” and a “night out” scent in one go.Immediately upon spraying it, you get the very sparky notes of pear, mandarin, frozen cassis and orange blossom. It then softens down to where you can detect the sandalwood and vanilla.
I absolutely love the scent. It is fun, it is flirty and it is fresh. My one qualm is that it just does not last on the skin the way I would expect it to last. I need to spray it again after about three hours of wear.
In all honesty, Viva La Juicy Glacé does not beat out the original Viva La Juicy. But then again, when does the sequel ever beat the original?!
The scent
Immediately upon spraying it, you get the very sparky notes of pear, mandarin, frozen cassis and orange blossom. It then softens down to where you can detect the sandalwood and vanilla. It does not sit on the skin for too long, you need to spritz it again after a couple hours. But I do find the scent to build nicely and not change with multiple applications.
The bottle
This insanely kitsch bottle borders on the side of over the top. I absolutely LOVE IT!!! It has an almost opal-esque effect, moving from one shimmering iridescent shade to the next as you move the bottle. The shades are made up of pinks and purples and silvers and blues. The most stunning rainbow of hues. The bottle itself is textured and quite weighty. The darling little bow and fluff ball can be removed if it is too much for your vanity – but I would call you a crazy person if you did that. It all ends off with the gorgeous structured gemstone cap.
The box
I never, ever, pull images from the internet to use in my blog posts but this box was just too exquisite to not include. So in this case I had to use a Google image as I could just not capture a gorgeous enough picture. The box has a similar effect to the bottle, just being more sheeny.

While the scent is not the most long lasting, I am still a huge fan of this latest Juicy Couture addition! I now realize that I absolutely have to get my hands on the original!
