Trying to title this post was difficult. All five of these shades are so similar but how to describe their similarities? Are they orange? Are they morange? Maybe they’re coral? Maybe they’re red?

A colour like this can seem quite daunting, especially to someone who is a beginner with make-up. But all you need to do is find an orange shade with the correct undertone and you will be all set.

I won’t harp on too much about each individual lipstick because they are all amazing options. Hence why they are featured in a ‘favourites’ post, right? Each of them is creamy, long lasting and super pigmented. I will however point out the small cons of each. But overall, each of these five are INCREDIBLE options should you be looking for a shade like this.

morange

Revlon Ultra HD lipstick in Geranium

One of the smoothest and ultra-pigmented lippies in my collection. It is a sheeny lipstick, not matte and it smells incredible! I love how moisturising it feel on your lips. These days I am so used to mate lipsticks, which tend to be drying, so this is a blessed change! I also love the packaging, the silver and transparent top is something different from Revlon.

L’Oreal Colour Riche Matte in Hype

Next up, Hype is definitely more morange than anything else. It is slightly patchy when applied, so you need to add on a couple of coats. The Colour Riche range has a lipstick design which just makes application beyond easy. I find I always achieve a perfect application when using this.

Wet ‘n Wild in Whats Up, Doc?

What’s Up, Doc? is another which applies a bit patchy at first, but the end result assures it still makes it onto this list! The colour is eye-poppingly bright and stays fast on your lips. It is the shortest lasting option of these featured five, but you still get one to two hours wear out of it before needing a touch up.

MAC Matte lipstick in Tropic Tonic

This is my newest addition to my make-up collection and you can see on the arm swatch pic that this is super pigmented. MAC lippies are just such a classic and their matte options kick some serious lipstick ass. I get a super red and morange payoff with this and the colour is very similar to Geranium. I would not call it a dupe though as this is matte and Geranium is sheeny.

NYX Matte Lipstick in Indie Flick

Then lastly, if I HAD to choose, like if I had a gun to my head. I may just, possibly possibly, admit that Indie Flick is my favourite of this lot. It is really an iconic shade, said to be a dupe for Kendal Jenner’s Estee Lauder lipstick but I cannot compare as I don’t own it. It is long lasting to a point that I can eat and drink and wear it for about five hours. You will not require any touch ups unless you eat and leave it on for hours. I literally only need one touch up during a work day.

I always get compliments when I wear this and pretty much all my friends own in. And, let me tell you, this shade suits a huge range of skin tones! And lastly, this bullet contains 4.5g of product which, to my knowledge, is more than any of the above four.

From top to bottom: Indie Flick, Tropic Tonic, Whats Up, Doc?, Hype and Geranium

morange

I hope you guys enjoyed this post. I really enjoyed – and also hated – picking my top five choices. At the end of the day I would 100% recommend any of these five to you guys. They are FABULOUS.
