I have wanted to do a post on my favourite Youtubers for a while. I started researching which my most viewed channels are when I spotted something interesting on Google; my top 6 most visited blogs were ALL LOCAL! I feel like a damn champ at life. So instead of telling you how much I enjoy the channels of Shaaanxo, Lauren Curtis, Chloe Morella and the likes, here are my 6 most read blogs. And this is in order with 6 being my 6th most read and numero uno being my most visited site** If you want to get into blogging you may want check out a web hosting provider similar to HostiServer and get your blogging journey started!

Lipgloss Is My Life

blogs

Not a shocker to me. I check in on Leigh’s blog probably twice a day (due to not actually being subscribed to any blogs so I never get notifications*). No one tells it like it is like Leigh does. She is also so frequent – blogging every day of the working week is no joke – and is the only blogger who’s blog posts are short that I actually enjoy. I love a good meaty blog post with tons of pictures and lengthy content. Leigh brings the total opposite; a pic or two, short snippets of text but she totally covers all the “need to knows” and always includes a cool fact, the pros and cons, and the price of products. Besides for all of this, she is damn hysterical in her posts and doesn’t hold back.

I have met Leigh IRL and she is just as hysterical and down to Earth. She also complimented me on “looking only 23 years old” but I was actually 22 at the time. Dying.

3 Kids, 2 Dogs and 1 Old House

blogs

Is it weird that I am a 22 year old with no plans of kiddies for at least 5 years BUT am obsessed with Cindy and her family? Again, I check in on Cindy’s blog daily because you can expect to see a post almost daily. From the ‘Letters To XYZ On Your XYZ Birthday’ to the themed party posts, I love it all. I will admit to shedding many a tear at all the adorable kiddy stories. Cindy has such a stunning way with words and her kids are beyond lucky to have had everything documented the way that Cindy has documented it (even if she claims it is because her memory is so bad). Also noteworthy is that Cindy’s husband is the only other person I have ever heard of who has the same gecko phobia that I do!)

I also love how Cindy backlinks multiple times in posts – as she refers back to past things a lot – and suddenly I have, like, 13 tabs open of lovely readable reading things to read.

Caffeine & Fairydust

blogs
Okay, okay. WEIRD. Third in a row that is a mommy blogger. Eek, Rayne. I freaking love Maz. I know I just said that exact sentence above but I really do love Maz. Her blog posts about the shiz her kids say are HYSTERICAL. I literally read them out to everyone in my office at work and make sure they all laugh too. Another reason why I think Caffeine & Fairydust is on my list is because Maz writes a lengthy blog post and I love nothing better.
Another mommy blogger! I adore Chereen. Absolutely adore Her blog is impeccable and she does the balancing work life/mom life/blog life act amazingly. I know Chereen would be so modest and say that it is not as perfect as it looks! But you flipping rock at making it look possible. Chereen’s blog – For The Beauty Of It – is one that I have been following since I first started reading blogs. The content is an array of beauty, motherhood, minimalism, veganism and a few other things that I have no tie to yet I am always so captivated by the content.

It’s enough to make you want to start your own beauty blog and try your luck at getting in touch with a beauty PR firm similar to Blend PR – http://www.blendpr.com/beauty-pr – that would be amazing, wouldn’t it?

Cara Fay

blogs

My best! I am so glad Cara is on my list because she is the best and it would be biased if I just picked my best blogs. Cara and I quickly became close friends when I joined the beauty blogging realm. And honestly, I have such respect for her blog. Her photos are immaculate, her blog posts are always real (she has no issues with posting negative reviews if the occasion calls for it) and she is constant with her posts. She is also the only local YouTuber who’s videos I properly enjoy watching! And she is the best when it comes to handing make-up and skincare products over to friends 😉

One Stiletto At A Time

blogs

Abby is another blogger who I have been following for years. I think she has had her blog for going on five years? That is insane impressive! I would also go as far as to say she is one of the blogs who inspired me to start mine. She also blogs on everything from beauty to travel to fashion to events to food. It really is a huge amalgamation of all of my interests and a few that I am still yet to be brave enough to launch on my own blog! Abby is also super frequent and you can always expect to see multiple posts in a week which is a huge thumbs up in my book.

And that about sums it up! Dooooo let me know if any of my fave bloggers are favourites of yours too. Or maybe you know some other local blogs that I should check out!

*I cannot handle the multiple Monday/Friday morning tornado of email “What Did You Miss This Week on blah blah blah” mails so I don’t subscribe to a single blog.

** Please no “dam gurl y u a stalker” comments. I am quite happy with my favourite bloggers knowing that I love what they do.
