I literally took these pictures of the Brow Drama from Maybelline in November 2015! It used to be one of my favourite products and I have only just started using it again. Read on to see what happened..

On Cara’s suggestion (I obviously really trust her judgement!) I purchased this brow mascara last year and I really enjoyed using it on the days when I wanted a “no make-up make-up” look. Brow styles changed drastically in the few months since then and now thicker and slightly unkempt brows are in.

I was fortunate enough to go for a microblading session with Urban Beauty Studio which pretty much gave me brows that did not need maintenance. However, after the first few months they do need a little TLC. One of my friends inspired me to look into microblading after she got her eyebrows done at the Renewus Medspa. I was so in awe of her flawless brows that I just had to try this treatment for myself!

The Brow Drama is the perfect tool for adding a little something extra to your brows. The uniquely designed spooly is perfect for adding a layer to your brows to thicken them up a bit. You also have the colour option (three shades available) so you can add a darker colour to your brows if you like.

The spooly is apparently known as a detailing ball and I have seen very mixed reviews on this design. I apparently have the right shaped brows for this applicator as I love the way it applies.

Once there is a dollop of product on the applicator – be careful as sometimes a lot will come out – I apply directly to my brow and use the outside of the top part of the ball to spread it out. I then use the tip top of the ball on the finer part of my brow and on the tail. The applicator is perfect for spreading the formula out smoothly and evenly.

Once on your brows, the formula will set after a few minutes leaving the brows feeling firm to the touch. It is not hard or stiff or uncomfortable in any way though. It basically just sets them and keeps them firmly in place for the day ahead.

The product stays put on your brows for an entire day… as long as you are not swimming and expecting it to stay perfect! It also does not do any weird flaking or drying into a patchy pattern as the day goes on.

It is also very easy to remove with warm water if you are having a bath or are in the shower. It simply washes out of your brows. Not the way that mascara washes down your eyes even though this is referred to as a brow mascara.

Overall I really am loving this product again! I also love the sleek, hardy and easy to pack packaging. You can chuck this into your handbag and not worry about anything breaking. The label also doesn’t rub off.

All in all, if you have thin brows you will need to thicken them out before using the Brow Drama. Once your brows are thickened out a bit, using this is a DREAM. You can see the immediate results in my image below. My brows are looking a bit scraggily otherwise but oh well. That is due to my laziness and not down to the Brow Drama!
