YAY. A tag post. I have not done one of these in a while and usually I am not that excited about them but they are good to have around because they make for an interesting read. I was tagged to do this post by the lovely Janneke of Daisy Person Blog and I can honestly say that its the first tag post that I was itching to start right away!

The tag consists of you choosing a favourite beauty or skin care product for each colour of the rainbow (after watching a few Youtube videos I decided to also add in pink and multicolour) and write why that is your favourite item. I was a bit hesitant because I know I absolutely do not use yellow and green on my face but the rainbow tag allows you to choose an item based on its packaging colour, which makes it so much easier!

So here we go:

RED: Starting off I had no idea what to choose. While I have about 10 red lipsticks, I don’t like red lipsticks and I did not want to feature something that I do not wear often! So I went with something with red packaging.

The Clarins Blush Prodige in 05 Sweet Rose – I had, shockingly, forgotten about this blusher and re-found it when I was looking for the other colours for this tag. It bumped my original pink item (MAC lipstick in Lickable) to second place straight away. This is hands down the best blusher that I have ever used. I purchased it in January 2014 and look at its condition! I used it everyday for about a year and it has not even concaved a centimeter. It gives you the perfect light pink colour which suits this Winter weather perfectly.

ORANGE: This Bourjois Rogue Edition lipstick in 05 Brun Boheme is one of my favourites of all time. Its a burnt orange with a dark brown undertone and man, oh, man this is a lonwearing and super-moisturising lipstick! I absolutely love it and its perfect for Autumn. I have a more indepth review on it here.

YELLOW: Again I went with my colour based on the packaging. But come on, who uses yellow products on their face? My The Balm Nude ‘Tude palette contains twelve mind blowing shades ranging from blanc white to dark forest green. I actually have not used it in a couple of months and I so have my eye on using Sexy and Schitzo this week…

GREEN: We’ll call this turquoise, shall we? Boyfriend said I could not use this item as its blue, but I said it is clearly foam green. Either way I chose the M.A.C liquid liner Aqualine. If you have hazel eyes then I seriously recommend this colour to make your eyes all green and poppy!

BLUE: First off, kyk the poor girl Z-palette. I use almost no blue products! But I do have this pan of Environ single eyeshadows and this dark blue sprinkled with glitter colour is seriously gorgeous. I barely ever use it but check out that swatch! One light dust on your finger and look at the colour. Mind blowing. I am not too sure of the colour name and I cannot seem to find it online :/

INDIGO: Surprise, surprise. If I have said it once, I have said it a thousand times. The Maybelline Volum’ Express is the best mascara ever. I have been using it for over a year now, sometimes I use it in conjunction with another mascara, but I wear it every single time that I apply mascara. It does what its supposed to do; gives your lashes volume and darkens them. As you can see I have used mine for ages and its definitely time for a new one.

VIOLET: This was the worst one to choose because Violet/Plum is my all time favourite colour for cosmetic items. I could NOT stick to one item. I felt like I was being so ugly to all my lovely violet colour products so I finally whittled it down to GOSH Velvet Touch Lipstick in 159 Boheme and Rimmel Lasting Finish Lipstick in 120 Cutting Edge. Both are super moisturising (perfect for this Autumn/Winter weather) and they give off a fantasticly vampy look. I have more indepth reviews of both lipsticks here (GOSH) and here (Rimmel).

PINK: For my pink I decided on this Blushing Heart in Peachy Pink Kisses by Make-Up Revolution. It is highly shimmery which some people may dislike but I absolutely love it! The packaging is super cute and the colour lasts about two or three hours. If you are not into super dark blushes then this is perfect for you. It adds a nice amount of highlight, too.

MULTI-COLOUR: For my multi-coloured item I went with this Freedom Palette Quad from Inglot. I have a few Freedom palettes and their shadows are absolutely top-notch. If I had to use only one eyeshadow brand forever, it would be Inglot. I was given this palette at an event and it is so perfectly constructed that it beats all my other palettes which I put together myself. The colours are: Top Left – 420, Top Right – 09, Bottom Left – 353, Bottom Right – 329.
